Description: Irish Claddagh
A classical design that is timeless in its beauty - this is as close as it gets to the first original designs from 400 years ago in County Galway
Best of all, this ring is crafted with a good weight and feel to it. Substantial and solid, looks amazing on a man's hand or perhaps even for a woman who’s is attracted to boldly designed rings. In this Claddagh design the Heart is ever so slightly raised so that it throws off reflections in all directions. Crafted with a high level of attention to detail - the ruffled cuffs (which were fashionable 400 years ago) are replicated from old designs.
But wait there's more - The Claddagh symbol represents Love (the heart), Loyalty (the crown) and Friendship (the hands). Originally worn by men in the west of Ireland as a marriage token, the claddagh ring consists of a plain band with two hands holding a crowned heart.
Aesthetic and hard-wearing Claddagh rings for men that are made in Ireland.
As if that's not enough, this Claddagh ring symbolises Love (the heart), Loyalty (the crown) and Friendship (the hands). Initially worn by men in the west of Ireland as a token of marriage, the Claddagh ring comprises a simple band with two hands holding a heart - on top of which a crown sits.
But that's just part of the story...
In 1989 Aidi Mac Dáibhi initially started handcrafting Claddagh Rings as an apprentice in the Kilkenny workshops. In time Aidi wound up synonymous with Irish Jewelry and the Claddagh Ring, building up a universal notoriety for Claddagh Rings of extraordinary workmanship and quality. Today in his workshops in Listowel, Aidi continues to craft with this traditional custom. Utilizing age old strategies and current innovations every Mac Dáibhi Claddagh Ring is hand-created to flawlessness making each ring special.
400 Years of Tradition
For almost four hundred years, the Claddagh ring has superbly symbolized kinship, love and reliability, the fundamental foundations for any lifelong relationship. In spite of the fact that Claddaghs are most often seen today in delicate sizes and styles, the original design of hands grasping a crowned heart was at one time the symbol of the Fisher King, (the person out of King Arthurs legends fabled to be the protector of the Holy Grail).

As it turns out -
The Claddagh ring goes back to the seventeenth century. It is said that the primary Claddagh ring was made by a goldmith name Richard Joyce, who originated from Galway in the west of Ireland
What’s more -
The design features of the Claddagh demonstrate two hands holding a crowned heart. The meaning is Hand = Friendship. Crown = Loyalty. Heart = Love
